These three little coneheads were altered today. Two of them already have a home to go to tomorrow. ๐Ÿฅฐ
Did you know that not only do we provide vaccines, microchip, routine testing, and spay/neuter to each of our animals, but we also address any illness issues they come in with prior to adoption.
Your DONATIONS help us do so much!

Blessed are the adopters who give shy, scared animals the time and patience they need to come around in their own time. APA alum Sabrina, now Blondie, was adopted in April. Her new mom said, "I'm not gonna lie; the first three days were rough. Blondie seemed more feral than shy and looked for a way to escape every time we took her into the backyard. Then, unexpectedly, one day, she started hanging out with us. Now, almost a month later, she's settling in. She still is leery of being petted (except for foot pettings, as shown in an attached photo). It's still hard to get a leash on her, but once we do, she's compliant. She now goes out into the backyard and back into the house very easily. She's been on car rides, and we feel like she'll be able to join us on our adventures.
The bottom line is that we're really happy we made the decision to adopt Blondie. She's very sweet, and we look forward to many more years with her."

We welcomed these two senior dogs today. Their mom died, and their had dad is going into assisted living. Both dogs have lived in their home since they were pups so are understandably confused by all the changes.
Rusty, left, is 7 years old. He is a sweet boy. Sophie, right, is 13 years old. She's also a sweetheart but not as outgoing.
We hope we can find them a foster home or loving furrever home soon!

DONATIONS are always needed and appreciated to take care of our animals. We provide extensive vet care prior to adoption and many times support vet care for adopters for pre-existing conditions. Seniors always have more veterinary needs, too.

Tomorrow is POW (Pet-of-the-Week) Wednesday -- we will be live at 8:30 a.m. on Facebook and Zoom with our friends at Hot 103.

We have cuteness galore as our pets of the week! Kittens, kittens, and more kittens, who are purring up a storm and practicing their biscuit making while waiting for their forever families to come in and adopt them!

We currently have an adoption special where ringworm kittens are free to adopt, and the adoption fee for all other felines is half off!

Come meet any of our adoptable dogs, cats, and kittens ready to go home with a family at the APA Adoption and Education Center, 537 N. Solano, in Las Cruces. We are open Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat 11 to 3 and by appointment at 575-571-4654; www.apalascruces.org.
